Many families reach out feeling nervous about their first professional photo session. "We're not photogenic," they often say, or "The kids never sit still!" But that's exactly what makes each session special - capturing families exactly as they are.
During one recent session, what started as a worried mum saying "I hope the children behave" turned into pure magic. I focused on play, natural interactions, and letting the children be themselves. When Elaine first contacted me about a mother-daughter session, her mum was very worried about being uncomfortable in front of the camera. It's a concern I hear often, especially from those who aren't used to professional photography.
But that's exactly why I focus on creating such a gentle, relaxed environment. During the session, I took things at their pace, focused on natural interactions, and let their beautiful relationship shine through. By the end, all those initial worries had melted away.
